This last week was wild, with Apple launching the iPhone 16e and — very unusually — beta versions of iOS and iPadOS late on Friday. Needless to say, it’s been a lot to unpack.

The iPhone 16e is the successor to the iPhone SE, albeit with a higher price tag. Even though it has an update design, there are a number of smart home-related compromises.
