Jeff Pu has shared a report repeating several rumors, including Ming-Chi Kuo’s earlier report suggesting all iPhone 17 models would get Apple’s custom Wi-Fi chips.

Apple debuted the C1 modem with the iPhone 16e in February 2025. Rumors suggest the C1 will be limited to Apple’s iPhone 17 Slim, but a new Wi-Fi chip that supports Wi-Fi 7 will be used in all new models.

The shift to in-house chips has been rumored by Ming-Chi Kuo since at least October 2024, but he’s been more confident about it in more recent reports. According to a research note seen by MacRumors, analyst Jeff Pu has now repeated that rumor.
